Updated District Policy: Graduation Ceremony Participation Eligibility

Beginning this school year, seniors must earn all 24 required credits to be eligible to participate in the graduation ceremony. 

In previous years, seniors could still participate in the graduation ceremony having earned at least 23 required credits. For the graduating Class of 2026, all 24 required credits must be earned before or on June 3rd to be eligible to participate in the ceremony on June 5th. Additionally, seniors must complete all required Naviance tasks before getting access to graduation tickets on June 1st. Cap and Gown / Senior Gear Ordering Information:

  • Paper packets with order forms available in counseling
  • Order online at www.minersgrad.com
  • Call Miners with questions 541-689-4588
  • Only required item for the graduation ceremony is the "Cap and Gown Unit"
  • "Cap and Gown Unit" comes with cap, tassel, gown and stole
  • All other items are optional
  • Miners will visit SHS every month or so to drop off paid orders (except for caps and gowns)
  • Caps and gowns will be handed out to graduating seniors at final Senior Class Meeting in May
  • Deadline for ordering and payment is some time in March
  • See Mr. Adams in counseling if you have other questions

Yearbook and Senior Pictures Information:

  • Senior Photos
    Congratulations on making it to your last year in high school! To mark this special time, in the yearbook you can change your senior photo from the Lifetouch school picture to a senior photo taken professionally. Senior Photos are due by Feb. 1st, 2026 and emailed to kate.mcguire@springfield.k12.or.us
  • Senior Quotes
    Please write out your senior quote to be included in the yearbook. Your quote needs to follow the rules outlined in the linked form. All quotes that do NOT follow the rules will be flagged and the student will be asked to resubmit a quote. Quotes due Feb. 1st. Submit Senior Quotes to this Google Form: https://tinyurl.com/SHSseniorquote
  • Senior Ads
    Senior ads are a perfect way to capture your favorite memories, showcase your achievements, and leave a lasting message to friends and family. Customize it with photos, have your parents write words of wisdom, or you can write shoutouts to those who have been with you through it all. Buy ads until Feb. 1st -Yearbook students will reach out to you to gather photos and text throughout the year.

  • University of Oregon Application Deadline - Jan 15th
  • Oregon State University App Deadline - Feb 1st
  • Senior Pictures for the Yearbook Due to Ms. McGuire - Feb 1st
  • Most Scholarships are Due - Feb - May
  • National Decision Day - May 1st
  • Senior Awards Night - May 26th @ 7:00pm in the auditorium
  • Oregon Promise Deadline - May 31st
  • Senior Finals (last days of class) - June 1st/2nd
  • Required Naviance Tasks Due - June 3rd
  • Senior Clearance Card Due - June 4th
  • Senior Breakfast in the Commons - June 5th (8:30-10:30am)
  • Graduation Rehearsal - June 5th (10:30am-??)
  • Graduation Ceremony at Silke Field - June 5th (time TBD)
