Springfield Choirs Bring Home Big Wins! 🎶
It’s been an incredible season for Springfield High School’s vocal music program, with two major ensembles bringing home top honors and making the entire SHS community proud.
At the 48th Annual Pleasant Hill Jazz Festival, Kaleidoscope took 2nd place overall following a standout performance in the evening finals. Their dedication to musicianship and showmanship was on full display, wowing judges and audiences alike.
Several individual vocalists also shined brightly at the festival:
-
Nadia Plumb earned 2nd place in the vocal solo division
-
Brianna Hernandez took home 3rd place in the same category
-
Jazmynne Sunderland received the prestigious Mike Wiggins Memorial Outstanding Vocalist Award
These honors reflect not only the talent but also the hard work and passion of SHS’s vocal performers.
Meanwhile, the Concert Chorale continued its tradition of excellence at the Midwestern League Contest, earning 1st place for the second consecutive year! Their outstanding performance secured an automatic spot in the OSAA State Choir Championships, which will take place on May 9th.
We are beyond proud of our students for their artistry, effort, and school spirit. Congratulations to all of our vocalists, and best of luck to Concert Chorale at State—Go Millers! 💙🎤
