While the nation is buzzing with college football kickoffs, here at Springfield High School we’re just as excited to kick off College and Career Readiness Season! Whether you’re a freshman starting to explore or a senior preparing for next steps, the College and Career Center (CCC)—located in the library—is your hub for opportunity. Drop in anytime or schedule an appointment with Mrs. Dapkus and our UO SAIL mentors (back on campus at the end of September).

Spotlight Opportunities

College Fair at LCC
Seniors—don’t miss your chance to attend the College Fair on October 9th! We’re taking the first 100 students who sign up. The senior deadline is September 24 at 3:00 p.m.; after that, spots will open for juniors. Sign up through the Google Form posted in your Senior Google Classroom.

CyberSecurity Challenge Cup
Interested in technology and protecting digital spaces? Register for the CyberSecurity Student Jamboree at UO on September 20, 10:00–1:00 p.m.

Rotary Youth Exchange
Dreaming of studying abroad? Current 9th–11th graders and families are invited to the Rotary Youth Exchange Information Night on September 22 at 6:30 p.m. in the library—an opportunity of a lifetime!

Seniors – Early Action Deadline
Don’t wait! Many colleges and universities have an Early Action Deadline of November 1st. Applying early often increases your chances of admission and scholarships.
