85 to Thrive: Attendance Matters at SHS

Winter Formal season is almost here, and with it comes an important reminder: attendance matters—not just for learning, but for staying connected and eligible to participate in school celebrations.

To attend Winter Formal, students must have 85% attendance or higher between December 1 and January 19. This includes being on time and present each day. Showing up consistently helps students stay engaged in class, keep up with their work, build relationships, and remain eligible for the activities that make high school memorable.

Attendance isn’t just a number—it reflects commitment, responsibility, and persistence. Every class period counts, and each day you’re here is another step toward both academic success and the fun moments that bring our school community together.
