Miller Strong Start started its first session on August 7, 2023 with 28 incoming 9th graders in the building. A second session begins two weeks later on August 14, 2023 with 42 scholars.
Miller Strong Start is an annual week-long experience that includes game-oriented, team-building experiences to support incoming 9th graders’ transition to high school and to strengthen the decision-making skills that lead to success in high school. Scholars build relationships with their peers and staff and get to know the high school campus. ALL incoming 9th-grade students were strongly encouraged to attend.
