A group of kinders and their parents joined student-athletes, student leaders and staff at Springfield High School for a fun night of inspiration and to dream big.
The Springfield High School Automotive Technology Program has been working on a special project: "Operation Rolling Thunder: Students Supporting Veterans." The project, funded by a Community Impact grant awarded by Harbor Freight Tools for Schools, provides transportation to veterans impacted by the Holiday Farm Fire.
Recently, the program proudly presented a 2002 Toyota Highlander to the project's first recipient, U.S. Army veteran Loran Taylor. SHS Automotive has connected with McKenzie Valley Long Term Recovery Group to identify veterans who lack transportation due to the fire.

Six months after implementation, the use of Magnetic Reading Foundations in K-2 grades classrooms has significantly changed the dynamics of phonics and reading learning in Springfield Public Schools.
