Students in the woodshop at Springfield High School are building fire-resistant sheds for families impacted by the Holiday Farm Fire, and thanks to partnerships with Lane Education Service District, PIVOT Architecture, and the Oregon Department of Human Services, a new automatic shop door is helping them complete projects more safely and efficiently.

Springfield Public Schools is excited to welcome Bob Brew to fill the vacated Position 2 seat on the Board of Directors. During its March 9 meeting, the Board appointed Brew with a 3-1 vote. He took the oath of office immediately following the meeting.

This year’s Native American Student Union Summit brought together more than 70 middle and high school students for a day of reflection, networking, and creative hands-on learning. The event was held on Feb. 19 at Willamalane’s Bob Keefer Center.
