Graduation Requirements
To earn a standard Oregon high school diploma, students must successfully complete 24 total credits in required subjects and demonstrate proficiency in local personalized learning requirements. State requirements dictate exactly how these credits must be broken down.
In 2023, the State Board of Education adopted new Oregon high school diploma requirements. These new requirements were designed to ensure that all students have the skills necessary for success in the 21st century.
Financial & Career Skills: Students graduating on or after January 1, 2027, are also required to complete 0.5 credit in Personal Financial Education and 0.5 credit in Higher Education and Career Path Skills.

| Education Plan and Profile | Develop an education plan and profile to guide learning toward a student's personal, career, and post-high school goals using the Naviance platform. |

| Extended Application | Apply and extend knowledge and skills in new and complex situations related to the student's personal and career interests and post-high school goals through Naviance. |
Smarter Balanced Assessment
The Oregon Statewide Assessment System includes required summative tests in three content areas (general and extended versions of English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science tests), as well as tests of English language proficiency that are required to determine which students are eligible to enter or exit English learner status (English Language Proficiency Assessment).
