Studio Arts and Graphic Design

Students painting a forest landscape in studio space

The Studio Arts and Graphic Design CTE Program prepares students for careers in the visual arts and creative industries by combining traditional artistic techniques with modern digital design tools. Through hands-on projects and industry-aligned curriculum, students develop foundational and advanced skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, typography, branding, digital illustration, ceramics, design software and various techniques of industry-standard print production.

Students explore the elements of art and principles of design while building a professional portfolio that demonstrates their artistic vision and technical proficiency. The program emphasizes creative problem-solving, visual communication, skills needed to build, manage, and grow a sustainable enterprise, and critical thinking — all essential skills for success in both postsecondary education and the workforce.
