SHS Community Pep Rally is Coming!
Homecoming pep rally is a community event celebrating and showcasing the best of Springfield High School. The evening begins at 5:00 p.m. with vendor and food booths provided by our various clubs and organizations including, but not limited to, our very own Coffee Cart, SODA (Students opposed to Drugs and Alcohol), Boosters, Miller MOB, Women’s Basketball, Men’s basketball, Multicultural Club, GSA, Women’s and Men’s Soccer programs as well as the Wrestling team. We have just as much variety in food as we do events – tamales, chicken and rice, pizza, BBQ, and, of course, grilled hamburgers. For your sweet tooth we offer donuts and a variety of baked goods. This event will be a great time to stock up on your Miller t-shirts, sweatshirts and hats.
At 7:00 p.m. the action moves from the vendor booths to inside the stadium. Inside the stadium the Homecoming Court nominees will be introduced. There will be performances by our award-winning choir, theater, marching band, and the cheer team. Classes will do their best to defeat each other in class competitions. Coach Jones will deliver a resounding pep talk to fire up the crowd as SHS takes on the North Eugene Highlanders for the Homecoming game Friday night. The evening will end with a SHS highlight video shown on a huge screen in the stadium. A tremendous fireworks show at dusk will cap off the evening.
It’ll be a great evening – hope to see you there! GO MILLERS!
Welcome back to a great year at SHS! Can’t wait to see you!
