We have wonderful people working at SHS and Kevin Rowan, Gladys Campbell, Lisa Dillon, Audrea Shelley, Candy Harshbarger, and Kristin Larsen have been nominated for the ACE Award. The event will be held on Tuesday, April 19, at the Hult Center. The reception and light refreshments will be at 5:00 pm and the awards ceremony will be from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Please congratulate these folks for their hard work and dedication to our school!
The 2016 SHS Prom is just around the corner! Tickets are on sale in the attendance foyer and cost $25 for a single and $40 for a couple. This year’s prom will be held at the UO Ford Alumni Center (1720 E. 13th Avenue) from 8:00-11:00 and has a masquerade theme!
We are in the process of sharing information with students and getting them ready to forecast their course choices for next year. Counselors are going out to all the middle schools this week to present about the great options here at SHS. Current SHS students will do a transcript review and then make course choices the week of April 11. Please talk with your student about their course options and how this fits into their long-term educational plan. The 2016-17 Curriculum Guide is also available on our website.
